What we are building
Housing decisions combine large numbers, uncertain forecasts, and personal priorities. A useful calculator should make the math inspectable rather than hide it behind a single recommendation. HomeMath shows the inputs, formulas, costs, investment opportunity cost, and sensitivity that influence a result.
What we do not do
HomeMath does not originate mortgage approvals, sell real-estate services, provide individualized financial advice, or promise that a projection will come true. The tools are educational estimates. Local laws, market conditions, loan terms, property condition, and personal circumstances can change the answer.
How we maintain the tools
We review formulas, interface states, and source links as the project evolves. Pages show a review date and identify the intended market. When a calculation or explanation is corrected, the corrections policy explains how the change is recorded.
Start with the calculator
Use the rent vs buy calculator, then read the methodology before making assumptions you cannot explain to yourself or someone else.
